About Tennessee Underwriters
In
1980, the average cost of a gallon of gas was $1.19 and the average
house cost $68,700. The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan and
President Jimmy Carter pulled the U.S. Olympic Team out of the
Summer Olympic Games held in Moscow. In Japan, the first camcorders
and FAX machines were introduced to the market. Later in the year,
Ronald Reagan was elected to be President of the United States. From
a business environment standpoint, the United States was suffering
double digit inflation and an economic recession.
In that same year, Tennessee Underwriters was founded in Nashville
to serve the insurance needs of independent insurance agents and
their clients across Tennessee. About a year later, the company
moved their office to Franklin
just outside of Nashville.
Since 1980, Tennessee Underwriters has helped insurance agents

carriers, the brokerage has always conducted business with a strong

While we believe in leveraging and
utilizing technology to enhance the operation and enhance the
service provide, one constant through the years has been our our
commitment to providing personal service. We are and will continue
to be a family business that believes in the same principles the
